We are a chartered Chapter of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Inc. Our Chapter is based in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and serves north Texas and the surrounding area. Founded in 1982, Lone Star Chapter 124 has a diverse group of members with a common interest in horological collecting and education.
Chapter 124 is an organization of people from all walks of life who enjoy the hobby of collecting clocks & watches and education in the field of horology.
Our members range from active industry professionals to those with a general interest in collecting, repairing or restoring watches, clocks and associated items. We are a not-for-profit organization and part of a worldwide network of Chapters that have more than 15,000 members , 90% of which are in the USA.
Provide a venue for members and the public to learn about the history of timekeeping devices.
Educate members and the public on the care for, repair and restoration of clocks and watches.
Provide means for our members to buy and sell clocks and watches to each other.
Sponsor advanced level educational programs administered by the Field Suitcase Workshop program of the NAWCC, Inc.
A bi-monthly newsletter
A regular Mart of buying and selling at four One-Day Chapter meetings each year
A two-day Regional meeting in the metroplex once a year with a Mart, auctions, horological exhibits, educational programs and workshops
Lectures on a diverse range of horological topics
A diverse curriculum of clock and watch classes offered to the members and the public
Assistance for those new to clock and watch repair and restoration, or those wishing to improve their skills
